What is the JBT course?

The complete form of JBT is Junior Basic Training meant for training of teachers. The duration of a JBT course is 2 years consisting of four semesters.  After the completion of diploma course of JBT, the students can get employment opportunities in schools mores specifically in elementary schools.

Apart from that, there are certain colleges offering admission to students basing on their academic performance, on the other hand, some of the educational institutions conduct entrance examination for admission. However, there is always a comparison between choosing of courses in between B.Ed and JBT.

JBT takes 2 years for completion whereas B.Ed takes 3 long years for completion of course work.

 

JBT Admission Process

Admission into the JBT course can be done in two ways such as merit-based and entrance-based. The details whereof are furnished below;

Merit-Based Admission

The following are the step by step admission process based on merit into the JBT Course;

  1. Visit the official website of the online application portal and get the registration done by entering the relevant details such as mobile number, e-mail id, date of birth, name etc. Once the registration process is complete, the candidate will be provided the login credential.
  2. The candidate has to fill the application form in a prescribed format with all the necessary details such as address, gender, marks obtained and subject etc.
  3. The candidate has to upload the scanned copies of the documents as prescribed such as mark sheet, residential certificate, Date of Birth Proof, Proof of disability, Migration Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Transfer Certificate, Provisional Certificate, Character Certificate etc.
  4. Once all the registration and payment is done, then it is up to the college or educational institute to select the candidates for admission and publish their names on the official website.

 

Entrance-Based Admission

The following are the step by step admission process based on entrance test examination into the JBT Course;

  1. Visit the official website of the online application portal and get the registration done by entering the relevant details such as mobile number, e-mail id, date of birth, name etc. Once the registration process is complete, the candidate will be provided the login credential.
  2. Once the login ID is generated, the candidate has to fill the online form by providing all the academic and personal details. Then, the candidate can choose the course for which they can appear for the test.
  3. The candidate then has to upload all the scanned copies of the certificates along with photo ID proof, photograph, signature and certificate of class 10th and 12th.
  4. Further, a prescribed application fees will be paid either through debit/credit card or net banking.
  5. After successful payment of fees, the candidate can save and download the application form.
  6. Basing on the detailed provided and submitted; admit cards will be issued to the selected candidates.
  7. After obtaining the admit card, the dates of exam will be released by the colleges by different examination bodies. A candidate then has to sit in the examination and qualify the same in order to get admission in the course.

 

Eligibility Criteria for JBT Course

Every college or university provides certain eligibility criteria to take admission into the JBT course. The details whereof are provided below;

  • The candidate must have passed the class 12th examination with an aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized university
  • The candidates wishing to pursue JBT course should have cleared the entrance examination with an aggregate of 45%.
